On Sunday 23rd March 2014, the Very Reverend Evlogios Antonellos officiated at the Service of the Holy Eucharist which also included the Doxology for the Greek National Day.
After the service, there was a celebratory lunch held in the Church hall. The National Anthem was sung and the children marched in proudly holding the Greek flag. They entertained the community with Greek poems relating to the events of that time.
The AGM of the Hellenic Community of the Southern Cape was held after the lunch and the newly elected members for 2014-2016 are;Kostas Kokkinos, Pieter Chrysomallos, Nikos Kritzas, Stratos Kritzas, Mike Prodromou, Peter Stergianos, George Tyropolis, Jimmy Stergianos, Michael Kritzas, Helen Stergianos, Stelios Yianoglou, Lizinda Tyropolis, Harry Karaolanis. We would like to wish to our New Committee Members congratulations on their election and may the protection of the Holy Archangels be with them.
To the past Committee Members 2012-2014, a very warm thank you from Fr. Evlogios and the Hellenic Community of the Southern Cape. May God bless all of you with your families through the intercessions of the Most Holy Theotokos and the Holy Archangels.
