On Sunday 23 March, Reverend Fr. George Pittaras officiated at the Service of the Holy Eucharist which also included the Doxology for the Greek Day of Independence.
The children of the Greek school participated proudly in the service carrying the Greek and Cypriot flags, dressed in National dress. After the service the community held a celebratory lunch and the children re-enacted the events of that memorable day. Presvytera Despina Pittaras, the Greek teacher for the school is to be commended for the fine performance which was conducted entirely in the Greek language.
