On Sunday 1 December the children of Saint George’s Sunday School (Cape Town) celebrated their annual Nativity event at the Archbishopric. This year they performed a play about the life of Saint Basil and the story of the Vasilopita in a modern day scenario. After the play and musical programme everyone congregated in the garden around the Karavaki with candles. There was great excitement when the Karavaki dressed with lights was lit up at the count of ten.
