Mr. Evstratios Tyrannis, chanter of 40 years is honoured by the Hellenic Community of Bloemfontein
On Sunday 27 April, the Very Reverend Achimandrite Fr. Chrysostomos Maidonis officiated together with the Very Reverend Archimandrite Fr. Jacobus van der Riet at the Service of the Holy Eucharist which included an Artoklasia for the Feast Day of Saint Thomas the Apostle, at the Church of the Annunciation of The Mother of God, in Bloemfontein.
After the service Mr. Evstratios Tyrannis, (who celebrated his 90th Birthday recently) was honoured by the community of Bloemfontein for his fourty years of unbroken service as Chanter for the Church. Mr Kostas Papas, a previous Chairman of the Community, presented Mr Tyrannis with a trophy engraved with a message of acknowledgement and appreciation for his commitment to the Church.
