Clik here to view.On 28 April the Cathedral of Saint George in Cape Town was overflowing with parishioners, families and children of all ages to celebrate Palm Sunday and the beginning of Holy Week.
His Eminence Archbishop Sergios officiated at the Palm Sunday Service and also handed out palm crosses to everyone.
After the service there was a hive of activity in the Church hall as people stocked up on tsourekia and flaounes baked by the some of the ladies of the Welfare Committee and sold for Church proceeds.

Some of the children were dyeing their own red eggs in preparation for Easter Sunday while others were teaching the adults how to make palm crosses.

And last but not least, our children were also selling the beautifully decorated Paschal candles sold annually to raise funds for the needs of the Sunday school.

Everyone there commented on how enjoyable it was to see all the interaction and the traditional Easter preparations.
