Andreas Coulbanis, president of the Hellenic Students association and a group of students were hosted by His Eminence Archbishop Sergios for lunch, at the Archbishopric on Sunday 14 April. They were joined by Pater Nikolaos and Presbytera Maria and Pater Michali and it was one of those long leisurely afternoons where good food, good company and good conversation were the order of the day.
We had a delicious lunch catered by the ladies of the Welfare Committee with firm favourites like macaronia, calamari, roast potatoes, veggie salads and paella to feast on and we ended it all with fresh home made deserts. It was definitely voted a meal to remember, especially by the students who live in res and miss home cooking!
Then it was down to the serious business of tavli and chatting and the afternoon simply slipped away.
These lunches are always a great opportunity for new students to get to know other students and for everyone to catch up and network.
And yes, we hear you! We had numerous requests for more student get-togethers, so we’ll be buzzing with ideas. Please leave a message on our website with your suggestions.
